Shannon M. McCormick

Shannon McCormick began working for Toma & Associates in August 2008 as a law clerk while completing her last year of law school at Cleveland Marshall College of Law She joined the firm full time as an associate in the fall of 2009, after passing the Ohio bar exam.

Shannon is a 2009 graduate of Cleveland Marshall College of Law, where she was consistently named to the Dean’s List. She is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Before joining Toma & Associates, Shannon worked as a mediation extern for the City of Cleveland’s Prosecutor’s Office, where she received certified mediation training. Before entering law school, Shannon served as a legal intern for the City of Niagara Falls, New York.

A native of New York, Shannon obtained her undergraduate degree from Niagara University in 2006, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree, where she majored in political science, and minored in history. While attending Niagara University, Shannon received departmental honors, was awarded a presidential scholarship, and presented her honor’s thesis at the Undergraduate Research Convention. In addition, she was named to Delta Epsilon Sigma, the National Honors Society for Catholic Colleges.
